A Standalone doser can be switched over to slave mode at any time. This allows you to integrate it with your P4 system. The added benefit is the option to freely convert the device back to SA mode if you ever choose to do so.

Slave dosers on the otherhand do not need to be converted and are designed to work alongside a SA doser or ProfiLux.
