Firmware update

Hi

I want to upgrade from firmware 5.11 to 6.05. After checking on here it looks like I need to do the update from PLC 5.x.x and then connect with the new PLC. Is this correct?

There is one thing I cannot seem to find the answer to though. Can I transfer the settings back to Profilux given the big gap in Firmware?

Can I transfer the settings back to Profilux

Save the settings and sensor data before you perform the update.
You can store back both files after the update.

On the second question I was thinking more about problems when transferring the settings back to Profilux. Because there is such a big gap in Firmware and a number of things have changed I am wondering if transferring the settings will work or whether I should take screenshots of the PLC settings before the firmware update just in case.

For sure, it´s always a good idea to document the settings independent from the Profilux environment, especially if it´s an extensive setting.
However, normally it´s not necessary (I´ve done it same)
