performed pay update to vortech 1.03.. still showing 1.01 in software why?

hi

i downloaded the 1.03 vortech firmware...

then i made sure the vortech was the only device on the pab...

ran the update firmware...

it runs , says it completes...

but the vortech screen in pcl5 still shows v 1.01

why?

Please reassign the Vortech Controller agait at ProfiLux "System" -> "Configure PAB" -> "Assign devices" -> simply accept with "Enter"

that did solve that problem...

now i have a new problem in trying to upgrade the vortech ecosmart to 2.02

when i tell it to upgrade the vortechs, i unplug them first...

then start the upgrade..it starts transferring but about 3/4 of the way it errors out and says unable to communicate with the vortech controller..

so during the firmware transfer it fails at the end, it does not reach the point to ask me to plug in the vortech and put in update mode...

thoughts?

please try this:

for this update connect ONLY the VorTech-Controller to your ProfiLux in order to avoid problems through the PAB communication of other devices

-> unplug everything but the VorTech-Controller from PAB

i used the usb cable instead of lan


that took care of the problem....all updated now

when running firmware (even on PAB devices ) on my profilux I always use USB to serial.

Lan its just not what you want to use on (this device) for updating firmware
its very picky about timeouts etc...
