    does it mean I only can try to update by RS232 or RS232-USB converter
    NOT the PLM-USB is this??

    I was able to successfully download firmware "p" using usb to usb by disconnecting the powerbar. I wish I could say that this was my idea but it was not. Mathias suggested that I try it and it worked. So I suggest that you unplug the powerbar before upgrading the firmware.
