Ion Director standalone?

I currently have Hydros and want to use the Ion Director. How many pumps does the Ion director use? I read it uses 3, so one left over to dose calcium or magnesium, correct?

If I wanted to add another doser to the standalone, I could use an external, since standalone is basically its own controller, correct?
