Conditional Alkalinity Dosing Based on KH Director Readings
Hi all,
I’m currently using the KH Director to monitor and manage my system’s alkalinity levels, and I’m looking to refine how my dosing pump responds to those readings.
Here’s what I’m trying to achieve:
I have a defined dosing schedule in place for alkalinity.
I only want the dosing pump to follow this schedule if the KH Director reading is below 10 dKH.
If the KH reading rises above 10, I want the pump to temporarily stop dosing, regardless of the schedule, until the KH reading drops back to 10 or below.
In short:
Dosing should occur only when KH ? 10, and be paused when KH > 10.
Is it possible to program this kind of logic using the GHL ecosystem (e.g., through control loops, logic settings, or dosing overrides)? I’m aware of some control and logic options within GHL, but I haven’t seen a clear method to create this conditional lockout based on KH Director readings.
If anyone has experience with implementing something similar—or can confirm whether this is or isn’t possible—I’d really appreciate your guidance.
Thanks in advance!
Mark
