I am using a dlink wireless bridge to connect the 3ex to my router.
I am using BT for my internet connection
the local ip of the profilux 3 is 192.168.0.7
what other settings should i look at for LAN in the profilux?

Sorry, cant help you, since my notifications still don't work either. Nobody was able te help me on this thread. Hope you have better luck.
dunno if it helps but I also struggled along time to get the email to function =>
In a special case you might have the same issue I had. (using authentication while you shouldn't be doing it )
with identical configuraion in PLC and Profilux ( its is a small difference between how PLC and Profilux send the emails ) its worked with PLC but not via the P3
In the end I just traced the network traffic to find the solution of the problem.
If you're in the same case , it can be your solution.

Thanks man
I have unticked the authentification but still no joy!
are you using an IP mail server or a domain?
I'm using a domain
But with a successfull config the smtp server field gets the ip of the last time it used it .
when it didn't work the smtp field only flashed briefly and then went back to whatever value it was 0.0.0.0 ?
are you sure you email provider allows non encrypted smtp mail out messages ?
good point!
Ill check this now
don't try with google or something its a big nono
its easy to test with a simple email client

well i tested it from the plc without authentification and it worked so i guess it does!
probably best to make screenshots of your profilux email config and you plc email config
too rule out obvious errors.
