Default No Connection Via Cat 6 ethernet lan

    Hi

I have been accessing my profilux control through usb by manually connecting it when i need to

I would now like to hard wire a cat 6 cable permanently to the profilux 3 so i can access profilux control locally or remotely (if is this possible?)

I want to send email notifications and also use one of the apps.

I have connected the cable and the green light appears as i plug it into the back of the profulix from the router.

I do not see any device appear on the Ethernet input on my routers admin page?

    Am I missing something here?

    I have a profilux 3 ex running firmware 5.10

    That is possible

That is possible, but you have to update the PL firmware first.
Due it´s a little bit tricky, I would reccomend to
    • save settings and sensor data
    • update to last FW of version 5 firmware which is 5.17
    • install last ProfiluxControl of version 5 which is 5.17.2
    • restore settings and sensor data & check if all is working well
    • save settings and sensor data again
    • update to last FW of version 6 firmware which is 6.14
    • install last GHLControlCenter which is 1.0.6.6,
    • restore settings and sensor data & check if all is working well

You should check the LAN settings of the Profilux. It´s hightly reccomended to set a fix IP for the Profilux to prevent problems and to ensure to have always the same IP in home net.

If you know how to, forward directly port 80 (for webserver) and maby Port 10001 (for GHLControlCenter) inside your router to reach the PL from outside. Don´t forget to set a password for webserver and program connect first!

    Thanks for the fast reply.

Just found the auto assign ip setting in the profilux and it has now found it. Will set this device to this reserved ip on my router to always keep it.

will run through your firmware steps if hit any email problems.

    thanks again
