Updating from 5.11 to 6.12

Just want to check that this has to be done by flasher tool ?

Or if I do the jumpers I can do via USB?

Usb I have never had any failures from and would prefer to do,it this way but if have to use flasher tool I will.

Just usb to serial so unreliable I once used to tune my car and always dropped put so updated ECu for car to a better brand that run usb never had a dropout since

The Flasher Tool is for emergency updates, if you want use the Flasher Tool you have to open the ProfiLux like mentioned in the manual here: http://forum.aquariumcomputer.com/do...?do=file&id=48

You can use the Flasher Tool with Serial and USB.
If you want use the Flasher Tool with USB, the manual says you have to put the jumper on JP1: "Put the jumper on both pins of JP1."

You can do the update via PC Software with Serial and USB too, then you don't need top open the ProfiLux.

If you want do a firmware update via Software you need the suitable software:
If the ProfiLux have firmware below 6.00 you need profiLux Control from here: http://forum.aquariumcomputer.com/do...do=file&id=157
If the Profilux have the firmware 6.00 and above you can use GHL Control Center: http://forum.aquariumcomputer.com/do...do=file&id=226

Version is 5.11 as original purchase so trying to get it up to speed to at least 6.10


Do I need to install lower version of Profilux software for this on PC ?

After you updated the ProfiLux to version 6.10 you can use GHL Control Center.
