Networking 2 ProfiLux Plus II, WLAN or RS485?

Hallo,

I have already a WLAN card on my ProfiLux Plus II. I want to connect a second ProfiLux Plus II (or III) to the first one, since the 2 aquarium computers are located in different parts of the house it was better and easier to connect both computers through a WLAN connection instead of a RS485 cable connection. Is this posible or the more reliable way to connect both computers is the cable connection?

Does anyone know the aproximate price (Europe) of the RS585 cable?

I think it is much easier to use PLM-WLAN, you need no wire through the entire house

It all depends on the signal strength of your WIFI modem, since both controllers have to communicate with that in order to be a part of your network. It also depends on the structure of the building off course, but normally one floor in between should not be a problem.
