Default New firmware has changed built-in presets???

    Hi there,

The light colour presets that I had saved (whether they were included with the GCC software, or made by me), have changed since I installed a newer firmware/GCC version.

Each preset has a name such as '6500k'. However, when I try them in the light composer the actual 'Estimated Light Colour of this mixture' shows a different, lower kelvin value.

If I make a new preset this problem does not happen.

So I would like to know if this behaviour is normal and so if I can still believe the light colour estimates made by GCC.

My specific Mitras is a 6000LX freshwater.

    Many thanks,

    P

Hmm, no replies. Is my explanation not clear enough?

    I can provide screenshots...

Yes, screenshots would be good, as we can't reproduce this problem.

Please post also your Mitras firmware version as well as the version of your GHL Control Center.

    Hello again,

Here is the GCC settings page.
    Settings.jpg

Here is the built-in 10000k light composer setting, however, when I load it the resulting estimated colour is now 11220k.

Here is my own 3400k setting, however, when I load it the estimated colour is 3110k

Here is my own 6500k setting, I had to re-make it so now the estimated colour is correct when loaded.

With all colours maxed the spectrum is 7170k as pictured.

    Thanks again,

    Hi

we changed recently the algorithms to calculate the light temperature.
The problem is that non-white LEDs (like red, blue, green) don't have a defined light temperature and that there are many different ways for calculating an approximation, so we did some fine-tuning recently.

-> yes, this is normal, yes, the calculated values are a quite good approximation

however, the new algorithms don't affect the actual output light

That's great, just wanted to check.

    Many thanks,
