Default What do you control with your Profilux?

    GoToSleep from RC asks -

What do you control with your Profilux?

I surmise that this forum has a good mix of experienced controller users and people who are just getting their first controller.

Would a few of the experienced users be willing to post a list of the things that they currently use their controllers to manage?

Also, feel free to post things that you realalistically could be controlling but haven't started yet.

I have 2 tanks running GHL kit now. They are as follows:

Reef tank with GHL Profilux II controlling:
Metal halide ad T5 lighting (soon to be upgraded to dimmable T5 ballasts)
    2 Tunze pumps
    Level control
    Calcium reactor
    Ozone
Temperature control (heater, fans and chiller)

Seahorse tank with GHL Profilux Light controlling:
T5 lighting (soon to be swapped for a custom LED light unit that will be fully dimmable)
    Tunze pump
Skimmer (currently run only in the day as tank is in the bedroom)
    Heater/fan

Think thats it all but if I think of anything else I'll add it!

My 1 x 350 liter Reef tank with a Profilux II Plus.

    The following are controlled:

    pH Probe
    Temp sensor

MH Light - just on and off, not dimmable
T5 x 4 Blues - just on and off, not dimmable
Sunrise, sunset, Moonlight, thunderstorm with Simu LED light bar

Return pump - always on, except when level indicate to high tank level
Current pumps - timer function, less current during night and feeding time

    Heater and cooling fans

Also I use the reefstatus program installed on a MAC mini, and I can then see my tank status with graphs on my iphone, even from where I am currently - In the middle of China

    Power Bars:
3 T5 (White & Blue Lights along with refuge light)
    1 250W MH (Frag Tank)
    1 Fan for lights
2 Pumps (Vortec and Tunze) for feeding only
    1 150w heater
    1 200w heater
    1 ATO
    1 RODI ATO
    Automatic water change (2 pumps)
    1 Lith Reactor

7 Dousing Pumps (Balling Light and Full Ultra Lith)

    L Ports
    1 Simul stick (Moonlights/Lighting/Dawn/Dusk effects)
1 Propeller Breeze 3 (For cooling)
    1 Controllable Tunze Pump

    Monitor
    Temp, PH, Conductivity, Orp

My system is just about maxed out right now but when I get the PIII working I am planning on adding 4 more dousing pumps (for trace elements) and another temp probe to monitor temp difference between basement sump and display. I would also like to monitor if my skimmer goes crazy so it will turn it off and send an alarm and also my basement dehumidifier

I have 8 dosing pumps, and the 6d power bar. I control my fuge lights and heater on the power bar, as well as shuttign down the skimmer nightly when I dose amino acids.

I currently dose baling method light, and faunamarin products with the pumps. I also use two dosing pumps to perform continous water changes by pumping out 2gal of water each day and pumping in 2 gal of new sw mix each day.. at many intervals throughout the day.

I plan on controlling my ATI lights, and some LED's when I find the time... and I am working on getting variable-flow pumps for the two closed loop systems in my tank and using the controller to create flow-programs for them. This project has some more research required though.

    I am running P3 ex.

    220 Display
    3 x 400 MH
    Fan for cooling with MH
    4 x 80 T5
    LED for moon
High level shuts down return pump and skimmer pumps

    24 Display
    1 x 150 MH
    1x white LED
    1 x blue LED
High level shuts down return pump and skimmer pumps

    Skimmer
High level shut down feed and recirc pump

    Sump
    Solenoid for RO/DI ATO
    2 x 250 MH
    2 x 40 T12
    Heaters/Chiller(temp)
    Ozone(ORP)
    pH
    Conductivity(Salinity)
Return pump(shuts down on high level in any of the tanks)
4 dosing pumps on Balling Lite and Amino Acids
Will be adding another 4 for full Ultra lith soon once I figure out how to add them to the system. They will occupy sockets 23-26. Any one know what I need to do this?
ATO is handled by Tunze, Profilux does not have enough level inputs

    Frag Tank
    1 x 250 MH on Light Rail
    closed loop pump
High level shuts down return pump and skimmer pumps
