    Default Keep losing LAN connection

    I have a 3.1N eX with 6.06 firmware.

I am usually able to connect via LAN when I open the PLC. However after some minutes I lose the connection and cannot reconnect.
It seems to have a mind of its own whether or not I can connect. I have looked through the forum posts but have not read about a similar problem.

I am not sure what settings you need. I am using the default connection.

    It is set to TCP/IP
    Host Name Auto
    Timeout 20000

    On the System/LAN screen:
    Otain IP address = Auto
    The MAC address shows correctly

As I said, usually it will connect, but only for some minutes.
Also, I have no problem accessing the Webinterface using the Profilux IP address in the browser.

I have tried everything. The connection still seems almost random and when I try do do something that takes any time, the connection is lost with a Error 50 and I cannot immediately reconnect. I can usually reconnect after some time has passed. This is becoming very frustrating. This is my latest setup, what am I missing?

How is your Profilux connected to your local network? Hardwired directly into you router or using a wireless bridge of some kind? Also, your DNS IP, not that that is should matter as you are not using name services connecting via IP but try without providing a DNS setting.

The Profilux is hardwired to the router. I deleted the DNS, but still the same.
Actually, it took 5 attempts to connect before I was successful, I made the change to delete the DNS, then lost the connection after a few minutes.

From a command prompt (windows) or terminal window (*NIX or OS) can you do a continuos ping to the IP address of the profilux and see if you have any packet drops or the space of a couple of minutes?

    I did it twice.
    With 396 packets sent - 1 lost
    With 920 packets sent - 7 lost
I am not sure what that means though.

What were the ms round trip times? (The odd packet loss here doesn't show a problem with you network connection which is good)
