Default Use Temp-Sensor for air temperature

    Hi,

Can the normal Temp-Sensor be used for mesuring the air temperature in a paludarium? Or must it remain submerged all the time?

    Regards,

    Bjorn

it needs not be submerged, it works also in air

    but I think the temp.-range (15° - 37°) may be the problem

My frogs require a temperature between 15 and 37°C, so that won't be a problem I think.

Is it possible to cut the wire of the probe to fix it in the paludarium and then reconnect it afterwards? Or does it have to remain shielded or something like that?

why do you want to cut the cable? just use one of our extension cables VSL2.5 or 5
    no shielding required

The hole in my paludarium is not large enough for the connector. So I would cut the wire, put it through the hole and then reconnect it.

    Will measurement still be accurate?
