Never mind on that last one.
My SMS is connected via RS 232 not via PAB.
Never mind on that last one.
My SMS is connected via RS 232 not via PAB.
This is not a PAB bar, it´s "only" a digital one. When I do connect a PAB bar
It should be connected to S1-4 or S5-8 and not to the PAB connector (plug is smaller than the PAB socket)
Sorry my mistake.
It is connected to s1-s4
Any other help/ideas Frank?
Thanks again
Ok, if you have the newest PLC (V6.01) you could select "File -> Firmware-Update PAB-device" in the PLC menu.
Accept the warning and select the firmware file for the ExpansionBox.
Check and accept the message "Do you want to update an ExpansionBox now?"
Then a Message appear "No PAB device is connected! Try update anyway?" ... accept it ...
...and the firmware update should start.
After the successful update, the EXB should working as usual and you should be able to assign the EXB again.

I could.
Only problem is --as shown on previous message-- that option is NOT AVAILABLE. I cannot press on that box. It's shown but it's not highlighted as the other options to the right side on that systems tab. So I cannot update the expansion box!!!!!!!!
Maybe this is a misunderstanding: Frank doesn´t talk about the update function in the system tab but the one in the file menu. And that menue point should be available. As said above, click "File -> Firmware-Update PAB-device" in the PLC menu (upper left corner) and do as described.that option is NOT AVAILABLE. I cannot press on that box.
I can't do it that way either!!!
Not one of those two options are available.
Other options under the file tab ARE available EXCEPT for the PAB firmware update.
How about give a try on delete and reinstall the PLC?
Done that also!!!
