Question re: Expansion Box

I was curious if anyone knows if the Profilux 3 could be networked via PAB with another Profilux 3 and function as a single system.

The reason I ask is because based on the cost of an Expansion box, and the need to then buy probes and powerbars, it comes out less expensive to just buy a P3 package deal that includes all of the necessities. Unless I am missing something?

I have 2 aquariums and want both to be controlled by a profilux. I currently have 1 Profilux and need to network the two aquariums.

You can link two PL3 together, but until now it makes no sense because there is no software function to benefit from.


No master/slave fail save function in case of one PL3 fails.
(Probably never needed do to the reliability of the PL's) ;-)

No device sharing in PAB network (SMS module, PL touch)

So don't bother with linking them together and run them independently.
