does it work ?
does it work ?
Sure. Why should it not?
I think, chercm means the automatic shutdown via USB in case of power loss, but the PL has no shutdown.
You can connect the ProfiLux to a standard UPS for "power out prevention" but with today's SmartUPS you wont be able to use that functionality at all. The UPS software has to install on a Windows or Linux platform to be able to communicate with the SmartUPS. This is impossible with the ProfiLux.
In conclusion you'd be just as good getting a "dumb" UPS as your would a SmartUPS because they would have the exact same functionality when the ProfiLux is the component being "powered".
I run my ProfiLux and 1 powerbar (it only has the heater and a single powerhead on it) on a UPS. The lights and all other pumps aren't on UPS but during a short to medium power outage life-support is maintained.
