Yes, LBF-AP is what you would need for controlling the Kessil. A single LBF-AP supports up to 2 channels.

Yes, you need one LBF-AP and also one stereo 3.5 plug. I used this one (http://www.clasohlson.com/uk/Exibel-...le/Pr327701000), but I'm sure you can find similar in a lot of different electronic stores. I'm also sure you can buy the original cable from Kessil, but it is much more expensive (you still need to cut it).

    1. Cut of the cable to desired length (remove the RCA connectors)
    2. Make sure you know what part of the plug is connected to which cable (you should have 4 cables when you remove the RCA connectors)
    3. Screw them on the the board (in the order below)

    Tip to pin 1
    Sleeve to pin 2
    Ring to pin 3
    Sleeve to pin 4

With the above items you will be able to control both color and intensity.

thanks though i'm not quite understanding the picture you showed just looks like one 3.5mm connection. i understand to cut the RCA end connectors (Red/White) but i'm confused how you used the one 3.5mm into 4 different connection?

When you have cut of the connectors you will have 4 wires. 2 from the white and 2 from the red RCA connector. Figure out witch one is running from the tip of the 3.5mm plug and connect it to pin 1 in the LBF-AP adapter. Then figure out witch one is running from the ring of the 3.5mm plug and connect it to pin 3 on the LBF-AP adapter. The two that you are left with should be running from the sleeve of the 3.5 plug and connect them to pin 2/4 of the LBF-AP adapter.

The picture is just an illustration of what part of the plug is the tip, ring and sleeve.
You can use an electrometer or a battery and a small diod to figure out what wire is connected to what part of the 3.5 plug (that's at least how I did it :-)).

so I'm guessing the first 2 wires are live and the remaining 2 are dead wires? if so how do you tell the difference from the first 2 with a battery and diode does it matter which is + and - in pin 1?

I think the first two are + and the second two are -. I think you need to connect them in correct order since it's DC curret. I'm not sure about this, but the description above is how I solved it.

Try to figure out what cable is connected to the tip, ring and sleeve of the plug.

but the first 2 you described are L1/L3 which are + and - and remaining 2 wires L2/L4 are also + and -

    lbf-ap.jpg

which are the ones that light up the diode and does it matter which + order they're placed in?
