    Idee Probs for CAL,ALK,MAG

    Hey GHL

It would be so cool if you guys could come up with probes that read the Calcium,Alkalinity,Magnesium level so the dosing pump would know how much and when to dose, If so I think you would be the first people to do so.

Unfortunately none of that values are measurable with "simple" probes similar to ph-, redox- or conductivity-probes.

I think this would be amazing but as Gunther stated these measurements would not fall under "Simple" probes. The probe would have to be "intelligent" and then communicate with the ProfiLux uploading that information.

Granted it would be a trend setter if this were to happen but unfortunately I doubt we will.

Hey I didn't know they had this, I have the test kit but its really hard and very slow. I just be very cool if GHL just came up with a idea how to read CAL,ALK,MAG with a prob or something like that so it can be read and control. Cos I know if they did I would pay $$$ anything for it

To create a probes for these values on a continual monitoring basis is near impossible as they are of mineral content and to measure them requires they use of a flushable membrane as the ion selective membrane gets clogged very easily. dip testers of course are available but no use for the constant monitoring due to the previously mentioned reasons.

Basically the technology is not available from anyone.
