Default Alarm firing on sensors that have alarm disabled

I seem to be having a problem with my conductivity prove - it's showing zero. (the probe is only a few months old, but I'm soaking it in vinegar to see if it just needs cleaning...)

This is causing an alarm on my profilux 3ex - even though I have the alarm for this sensor disabled:

I've tried to turn the alarm on, saved the setting, turned it off, saved the setting again but still have the same issue... Am I missing something?

    Running 5.14 on Profilux 3ex.

A value of zero means that the sensor is broken (or more propable) the cable is broken or a pin of the plug is crooked. This is what the alarm means. To turn off alarm you have to disable the probe.

Reason: Coductivity is the reciprocal of resistance, so zero means infinite resistance which is not possible in water. Check your cable and plug iff it´s broken. If you have the redox plug, you can test the socket with it if the input is still o.k.

Thanks, was sure I had tried setting "Activity" to "Not enabled" but I just tried it again and it stopped the alarm this time (maybe I forgot to save before?)

I've soaked the probe in vinegar for 24 hours, washed it with a mild detergent and gently wiped the contacts - still nothing... I can only assume the probe has failed? I've only had the Profilux/probes for 2 months, purchased in Australia, is this covered under warranty?
