    Default Faulty PH Probe

    Hi

I came down this morning to find my alarm going as my PH probe was reading 6.4. I thought this was impossible so i checked the ph with my test kit and found it to be at 8.2 where it should be.

I tried recalabrating the probe and during the calibration process the adc values kept going higher and higher. (are they supposed to remain stable?)

After calibration I put the probe in the tank water and now it seems to be stuck on 10.5 no matter if i place it in the water or the ph calibration fluid.

The probe has been working fine for months and this has happened very suddenly. Is the probe broken? could something like calcium build up have damaged it? Or should i clean the probe in some vinager solution?
