    Default Vortec - General question

I don't have the Vortec control module (yet) and was asked a question I can't answer. It's actually a 2-part question.

    • 1) If a client is running ProfiLux Controller (non-Vortec module equipped) and the Vortec is also supplied with the Ecotech Battery Backup what happens when the ProfiLux turns the outlet for the Vortec pump off ? If the outlet is turned off does the Vortec battery back-up automatically come online or does the user have to "engage" the battery back-up in some way?

      .
    • 2) How does the GHL to Vortec control module handle/address this same issue?

As I said I don't have the GHL/Vortec power module so try to answer in terminology that I'll understand just the same.

    Thanks in advance,
    Allen

    1) I think the battery back-up becomes active, switching off a socket makes no difference to a power cut

    2) the VorTech-Controller sends commands to the pumps in order to control what they have to do, there is no switching of a socket involved
