    Default Burn In for Changing T5

    im just about to change my T5 Tubes

    Do i need to burn them in??

    I have an ATI dim 10x80w unit.

    I dont want to bleech the corals!

    Normally all tubes must burn in for approx. 100 hours. It´s highly recommended to do so due you may get problems with flickering and lifetime if you don´t. Maybe you can change it one by one. Alternatively you can buy a very cheap lamp socket for external burn in.

    personally I never did it , but I don't dim my T5.

    in my 6 years of running T5 tubes I never had any issue , except 1 lamp just died. ( I replace -fased- all tubes after 6 months)
