    Its not planned, you can only do a firmware update via PLM-LAN card.

    why is it possible via the PLM-LAN and not the intergrated LAN card?

    Because the PLM-LAN is a kind of bridge from RS232 to LAN.

    The reason is: the complete TCP/IP stack has to kept running during the update

    Ok confirms what I tough (single processor, not copied to ram before comit). That's a big limitation, I hope the next generation of Profilux enhances that.

    This problem is always there with a single processor. You can not access the processor flash during the update.
    Even the PL2 & PL3 routines for the communication must be located in RAM if an update is started.
    In principle it is also possible to locate the TCP/IP stack into the RAM. But this is not planned yet (lot of work).
    Another solution is to create a boot loader like the way used in PAB devices...
