    Default firmware update over lan

How do i update my ghl ex3 over lan? is there some kind of option i have to enable? caus i get failed everytime i try ?

(its just a hazzle to unplug eveything each time)

also does it save the calibrations on the probes or do you have to redo that?

You can´t. Update is possible via RS232 or USB only

also does it save the calibrations on the probes
Save your preferences and settings before you perform the update. Then you can restore it easily

but if i am connected to it over lan, and select firmware update, it just says updating over lan is with risk, do you want to continue? and then i can continue, and select yes on the ghl... but after it transferes i get a error...

Take it: It´s not supported. Maybe it was possible in an earlier version of the firmware and PLC, but it isn´t anymore.

    Little correction:

The update via the internal PL3 LAN is not supported.
If you install a PLM-LAN into your ProfiLux (doesen't make much sense in PL3) you could connect via the PLM-LAN and the update is possible.
