    I need to update a new vortech, but the option to update the vortech is shaded. Is this not enabled during Beta?

    Yes, Vortech Update is not implemented in PLC6 till now.

    Ok so do I just need to wait? Or does plc5 still work with firmware 5.05f?

    Sure, you can use PLC5 and do a parallel install with PLC6. Just do the update with PLC5.
