    Default led controller

    Hello,

So it seems this thing would be analog 0-10v => pwm converting device
    http://www.pacific-sun.eu/index.php?...=1:latest-news

1 question , in the data sheet it says also thunderstorm , I thought the L ports where to slow ??? of is this different with led lamps ?

any change this will come as a PAB device ? ( I need to conserve my L ports )

yes, the 1-10V-signals are too slow for a flash

but a special trick in the 1-10V-PWM-converter makes it possible

    PAB - no plans yet

Do we know if the PWM capable meanwell drivers (ELN-60-48P) will support lightning using this module?

    Link to spec's:

Yes, it´s still said ... between the lines .....

yes, the 1-10V-signals are too slow for a flash [so normal 1-10V devices are not able to flash]
but a special trick in the 1-10V-PWM-converter [inside the GHL devices] makes it possible [for the GHL devices like the SIMU-L]

it does seem to be a 'passive' module so if we are still limited by the 10 mA of the L ports , it will be even less efficient then the normal L ports ( if you loose some efficiency in the convertion)

OR are we not longer limited to the 10 mA limit of the L port ?

there will be 2 variants of the LEDControl4: passive (switching only some mA, enough for a PWM controllable driver like Meanwell) and an active version with MOSFETs in it, able to switch 2A

technical details will be announced soon

yes - when the LED-Controller recognizes a "flash" over the L-ports it will change the PWM duty cycle to 100% for some miliseconds - there is your flash

    Great news!!
But i cant find where it says how many leds eatch channel can have as minimum. I think about the active unit
    (
    LEDControl4Active - with integrated drivers)
Is it possible to have one 3watt led on one channel

this depends on the power source you are using

    LEDControl4Active doesn't include a constant current controller!

it just switches the conenction between used power supply and LED on and off (PWM)

usually you should use the LEDControl4Active only for LEDs which are built for a constant voltage, not for a constant current!
