    Default Making your Profilux Wireless

    Hi,

Currently i have a LAN cable running from the Profilux to my router across the other side of the room.... not the best idea.

I guess i have 2 options, get the WLAN card from GHL or get a Wireless Access Point.

Which is best, and if its the WAP can someone recommend me a brand and model

    Thanks

The PLM-WLAN card is not available anymore, i am sorry.

We recommend a WLAN bridge - if you have a ProfiLux 3series computer, this is also the best solution, because Mail and Web is not possible over PLM-WLAN card.

    Hello
You say, that we can connected a wireless LAN card on the USB port on the profilux3?

We are talking about a LAN to WLAN bridge (connected to the ProfiLux LAN port).

A WLAN adapter on the ProfiLux USB is not possible, because the USB is no host device.

You also can think about a powerline adapter - works good for me.

since the profilux is using standard tcp/ip/ethernet to connect to the wlan-bridge ANY wlan bridge should work (if its compatible with your wlan access point offcourse)
