Standard Cleaning Probes - Recommended procedures?

    Hello!
I have the full-set of probes in my system. pH, Temp, Cond & Redox. They are in the sump area of my tank, which is dark enough to cause calcium based filter-feeders to grow. Some of them grow on the sensors!

What is the recommended method for cleaning the probes? I have a friend who used Vinegar from the jug and left the probes in for 24hours. He said it worked fine, but this is not the recommended process.

    What do you recommend?

PS: Mathais if you are reading this, it is Tim from MACNA. Hope you made it home well after your vacation.

Standard hydrochloric acid + pepsin solution

    Carolin, thanks.

    Some additional questions.

    1) what strength of those solution or is it all the same?

    2) what alternatives are there to those choices if they cannot be sourced?

    3) how long do you bathe the probes?

    4) how do you clean the probes before putting them back into the solution?

    5) what is the ratio of hydrochloric acid to pepsin solution?

    Thanks,
    Tim
