restart "network" services
would it be possible to have a way to reinitiate the network services on teh P3 whiout having to powercycle the controler?
it would save powercycling the controler after doing a config upload after a factory reset required for the new firmware upload.

A restart is not necessary.
ProfiLux does not use the new LAN-settings after changing them because we want not loose the connection in the case you are connected over LAN.
The new settings apply after disconnecting in ProfiLuxControl.

ok so what you are saying is:
connect to profilux via usb, reload the config, disconnect and the Ip that I had in my configuration will now be active (whiout having to do a powercycle)?

yes, there is only one issue at the moment - the auto update of the internal LAN settings works only when changing the settings in PLC, not after loading the settings from a file
-> you can force the update through this workaround: open PLC, pretend a change of LAN settings, save and disconnect
we will add this auto update for loaded settings in a future version
