    Default losing lan connection

i have a p3 and after 2-3 days of not using the profilux sofware the lan connection is lost. i have tried the p2 that i also have that has a lan card in it and that stays connected , never had a problem with the p2 in 2 years.
if i use the usb lead to comunicate ,the lan is restored after i disconnect the usb lead. 2-3 days later lost the lan again , (p2 still working by the way). both unit have static addresses.

    pc control : ProfiLuxControl_V5010

    firmware on p3 : V501

    firmware on p2 : V500l

    Hi,

Same problems here with a P3 wired LAN. I have tested with static and dynamic IP adress, with and without port-forwarding, but after 2 -3 days the connection is lost. Last Thursday I have powered-off and again on my Profilux -> LAN works.
    Friday and Saturday no problems.
Yesterday (Sunday) I tried to connect -> couldn't connect.

My Fritz!Box router recognizes a working Lan connection and the Profilux LAN LEDs are blinking when I ping my Profilux, but I can't connect and pinging results in a "Destination Host Unreachable".

jjb says something about interference with the USB connection, i can't confirm that.

    Any ideas?

I've tried to reproduce this on a long weekend without any luck.

The ProfiLux was connected for four days to a wired LAN, but without a connection via PLC or web interface. After these four days I've connected via PLC and web interface without any problems.

At the moment I have no idea which problem this could be.

IP address conflict can be excluded? MAC address of your PL3 (PLC LAN Propperties)?

Did you checked the IP addresses for a conflict? It is important that ther is no other device with the same IP in the network.

Could you tell us your MAC address of your ProfiLux3 reported by PLC?

    hi frank
all the items on the network have a static address:
    pc1 ***.***.***.01
    pc2 ***.***.***.02
    pc3 ***.***.***.03
    printer ***.***.***.12
    network harddrive ***.***.***.20
    profilux piii ***.***.***.08

wireless ports are switched off on the router.
the backup profilux pii (spare just in case) witch i have, never lost its connection and never did in 2 years ***.***.***.07
just set up log reporting on the router to see any changes over the next week.
