    Default Help After Firmware Update

Hi, I just updated the firmware of my PlusII EX from 4.05 to 5.00 but now the ProfiLux settings are in German and I don't know how to reactivate controls so that I can connect to my PC to upload my settings. Can anyone tell me what words in German I should be looking for on my ProfiLux to reactivate the controls or switch the language back to English.

    Thanks in advance... David

OK I've managed to get the Profilux back to English but since I upgraded the firmware to it won't connect to my computer, I am using ProfiluxControl II version 4.0.8.1 Is it OK for me to install ProfiluxControl version 5.0.0.11 to use with Profilux II

with firmware 5.xx you must use ProfiLuxControl 5.0.0.11 !

important: never load back the old settings or sensordata from firmware 4.xx to the ProfiLux with 5.xx firmware - they are not compatible!

OK Matthias thanks for that, does that mean I will have to recalibrate everything? I have never used my Profilux yet BTW and I'm just getting ready to upgrade it to a PIII, I already have the kit.

yes, all probes have to be calibrated (not the temp.-probe)

Would I have had to do that anyway even if I hadn't updated the firmware, and will I have to do it again when I update the PII to the PIII?

    yes

no, because you have 5.00 before and after the update -> you can save the sensor data in this case

P3 supports USB out of the box,

    I don't see why not.
