    Frage New Doser won't connect

This is my first GHL device, after using Neptune Apex devices for decades. I bought the Doser 2.2 Maxi stand alone, and I can not get it to connect.

First attempt: Using my android phone, I tried adding it on the app. It sees the Wifi hotspot for the device. I set my phone Wifi to that hotspot, using the password provided. My phone says it's connected, but the app won't connect at that point. It just sits there spinning the circle looking for it. I tried power cycling the dose, restarting the app, and multiple attempts to start over. Same result. My phone sees it, but the app doesn't. I'm lost.

Second attempt: I connected the Doser to my PC via usb cable. I selected to add new device, selected Doser 2/2.2 maxi, then got the device details screen. I set the connection name, and left the port at 1. After saving, I tried to connect. It says "Could not connect. Would you like to check settings?" The only setting options are COM and timeout. Do I need to use a specific port? If so, how do I know which one?

I was really excited to try this brand after several less than quality items purchased from Neptune Systems. Immediately running into problems with this brand isn't encouraging. Any help is appreciated.

    Hi,

For connecting over the app, if you can see the Doser's hotspot (GHL-DEV) and your phone is connected to it, you can do the following in the app:

    1. In the "My Devices" page, tap ADD DEVICE -> choose the D2.2 Maxi -> Create a new connection.
    2. Choose Connection via hotspot, press NEXT, then name this connection (Doser hotspot).
    3. Confirm your phone is still connected to the doser; you can also check if the yellow Wi-Fi light is ON at the back of the doser.
    4. Tap the newly made connection

Regarding the USB connection, you're having this issue because the wrong COM port was selected. I suggest going through this article which shows you how to connect.
