Connecting a RS485 DO sensor

I would like to know if it is possible to connect an optical Dissolved Oxygen sensor (RS485 type) to Profilux 4.
If so, how can it be done?

Optical DO sensors are the most reliable and that is what I need to use.
What is the type of DO sensor from GHL?
What is the RS485 extension card for? Doesn’t it allow to connect this type of sensors?
I’m using a permanent multiparameter system that uses RS485 MODBUS communication protocol. Can I connect it to Profilux 4 to transfer real time data from my DO sensor?

GHL's DO sensor type is amperometric (Clark).
The RS485 card is a communication card for the GHL Control Center/ ProfiLux Control software only. It does not allow communication with a third-party device.
I'll pass on your comments to our development department regarding Optical DO sensors.

Hi,

meanwhile the situation changed. There is a growing demand of mostly professional users who want to connect digital sensors, such as DO, DCO2, turbidity, etc. to our ProfiLux (or ProfiLux IL) system.
These customers come mostly from aquaponics, aquaculture, hydroponics and public aquariums.

Therefore our RS485 card can be used. We are currently working on the software (firmware in ProfiLux, app, GHL Control Center, web interface, cloud) to support these sensors, using the MODBUS protocol.
That's why we recently renamed the extension card to PLM-RS485/MODBUS.
