Glass on the Mitras LX6

Hi everyone,
Due to the fact that the plastic glass protection on my Mitras LX6 was completly burnt, I have replaced them with a normal glass (a 2mm traditional glass).
Can you tell me whether it can be a problem for my corals?
Indeed is there any filter protection on the originaly supplied plastic glass? Or is it only basic acrylique protection?

Normal Glas ist a UV Filter.

The original splash cover allows for maximum light penetration. There are different kinds of glass, some will filter light more than others so it is hard to say it your tank inhabitants are getting the same or less light.
