Default Sensor at 33%, how can i Purchase a new one?

Hello, I purchased a second hand ion director.
but when I want to measure, i got bad result with a 30% ion sensor health.

i believe the ion director sensor didn't supported well the travel.

how can i purchase a new sensor as it show out of stock on the site?

    Hello,

I am sorry that the probe of your ION Director no longer has the performance necessary for it to work properly.
In fact, the wet/dry cycles wear out the probe.
Also it is important that the probe has been rinsed with fresh water before being shipped dry.
Then after receipt, it is important to follow the normal commissioning procedure (wet the probe with fresh water for 30 minutes then start "Prepare measurement cell" and wait 12 hours before starting the first measurement.
Also be careful to fully insert the probe into the measuring cell as indicated in the instruction manual (to be able to fully insert it, it must be well oriented).
If everything has been done perfectly as indicated in the user manual (https://www.aquariumcomputer.com/dow...rector-manual/) you can actually consider buying a new probe.
You can normally place an order even if it is no longer in stock. The next probe deliveries should take place in January-February 2023.

I did prepared the probe following the manual with the soaking in ordi water, then prepare the cell and wait 12h before measurement.

But none of them have value due to bad sensor performance.

I do believe that the sensor weren’t prepared well by previous owner and probably stayed without use for a period.

Going to place an order for the new one then.
    Thanks

    Hi Petitreef,
as you can see from other posts, the durability of the sensor is still in need of improvement. In my experience, the sensors last up to three or four months, the premium version a little longer. So it may be that his life expectancy has already been reached.
    King regards

    Hi Petitreef,

unfortunately, we still have a problem with the availability of ION Director sensors, our current supplier is still unable to meet the demand for sensors in the quantity we require, despite various optimization measures.

Since last year, we have worked hard to find a sustainable and effective solution for the IOND sensor problem. We are very confident that we will be able to present a solution before the end of this year, where delivery time, quality and sensor pricing will be dramatically improved.

Until we have an exact delivery date for the IOND sensors, we cannot accept new orders. As soon as we have concrete information about availability, we will announce this officially and offer the sensors again in our store.

    Thank you Jessica,

I hope you find a solution quickly for the sensor because as of right now i got a 500€+ equipement that doesn't work anymore after only 6 months.
i also hope that priorities for the sensor will not only be for the new sales but for existing early adopter with first generation sensor issues.
