I am having this issue as well. I've started a ticket. I'll also add that one of my maxi 2.1 SA shows the exact behavior during a water change interval so I've disconnected it. It however is not on the new firmware. Should I run the update on it?

Update on mine sticking. I cleaned out and used a silicone lubricant I had and it worked better but still had instances where it would get stuck. Matthias provided me with 1.45 which increased the torque which helped but I still had a few occasions where it still would stick. So I purchased a different brand of lubricant and applied that after fully removing the other one and so far it is working well.
One thing to also check is that the rollers are freely rolling and no foreign objects within the roller area.
