    Default Controllable pump?

As I understand it, the only pump products that GHL offers are dosing pumps. Is there a DC pump out there that is controllable by the Profilux controller? Something that supports at least 2K GPH? Or even better - can be monitored by Profilux for overheating, etc? I'm looking for something in the GHL ecosystem that would give you the features of the COR20 offered by Neptune Apex.

    Thanks!

Any 1-10v controllable pump will be compatible with the ProfiLux. In order for this to work you would need to source the control cable from the pump manufacturer. If one is not available, you can use any control cable (even one made for Apex) and connect it to the GHL Breakout Box. The BO box is then connected to the ProfiLux controller. With this setup you can control flow rates and setup various type of flow patterns depending on how you're looking to use the pump.

Thanks. Can you suggest a pump that people use, one with at least 200 GPH? One that has an available cable?

There are quite a bit of options out there, but not many that can put out 200gph at the slowest speed. Usually a pump of that size is "non-controllable" via 1-10V, but users still control it by connecting it to a powerbar socket for simple ON/OFF control.

What are you planning to do with this pump?

Sorry, that was a typo. I mean 2000 GPH, not 200GPH. We need one for auto water changes, and one for a UV sterilizer. I think one more. Maybe for an algae scrubber? So a pump that can do 0-2000gph, controllable by the Profilux.

Depending on what the budget is, there are several 2000gph options.

Reef Octopus Varios is one of the less expensive options. For this, you would need a GHL Breakout Box and Varios control cable. There's a great video here which explains how this would all work together.

Another option would be Red Dragon pumps from Royal Exclusiv. They offer a native GHL control cable which connects directly to the 1-10V port on the ProfiLux. No extra parts needed.

Lastly, there's Abyzz a200 pumps. They also offer native GHL control cables. No extra parts needed.

If you want to take it a step further, you can install GHL flow sensors on the UV and algae scrubber pipes. Assuming each one will have it's own separate pump, you can use the flow sensor and ProfiLux to maintain a specific flow rate going through the pipes. With this option, you tell the ProfiLux what your desired flow rate is through the flow sensor and the controller will control the 1-10V pump automatically, so it maintains the desired flow.

For AWC, you could use any normal ON/OFF pump and connect those to the powerbar sockets. They don't need to be speed controlled for this task to work. The other option would be to wait for our next generation MAXI doser which comes with larger motors designed for moving larger volumes of water. These would be perfect for AWC tasks. ETA on those is TBD at the moment.

I have an Aqua Medic DC runner, it's cheap, silent and 0-10v controllable
