New Tank Build - Need help with lighting

Hello !!

I am trying to find out how many Mitras LX 7004 I would need for my freshwater 225 gallon tank build.

My tank is 80" long X 22" deep X 30" tall - How high do I keep the lights?

Plan on wanting nice aquascaped planted tank.

Hi,

If you are set on the 7004 and not the 7006, then I would recommend 5x 7204 for that size tank. These can be equally spaced apart and mounted 8-12" from the water.

4x 7006 mounted 8 - 12" away from the water would be more than enough. This would actually give you 24 clusters vs. the 20 clusters you would get from the 7004 units, more light overall.
