12V Halide lamps

I'm a little bit confused. I will soon have a Profilux II Light, and I need to dim two halide lamps 12V with electronic transformer. In an earlier mail I was told that a 1-10V interface will solve the problem. But the confusion is: is a 1-10V interface the same as a DALI?
Isn't DALI only for t5 and t8?? And further, is it necessary with a LF-ABOX?
Will it be possible to dim to 0-100% and will it shut of complete at 0%?
