Default KHD not reaching Nominal Value

My KHD is set to adaptive mode. The nominal value is set to 7.1 but I can’t reach that value. I’m happy that everything is calibrated correctly. It tests 6 times a day and the results are accurate. I feel it’s not adjusting the doses enough and/or causing swings.

I was dosing 1ml x 18 (19ml total) a day and this was the result.

I’ve tried adjusting the dose to 2ml x 10 (total 20ml) a day to see how that went. I still can’t get to 7.1 and the swings are worse.

    These settings haven’t changed

I know I can increase the daily dose and frequency and decrease the rate to help with stability. I thought the KHD would adjust the dosing volume and keep the value steady.

    1. Is this normal?
    2. Why can’t it get up to the nominal value?

    Hi,

The KHD is not designed to carry the whole KH management task. This is handled by your current dosing schedule. The KHD will make fine tuned adjustments ONLY AFTER you've found a normal dose that can maintain some stability. Once you've reached that point you can have the KHD step-in and make some adjustments.

    Thanks Vinny.

I had a feeling this was the case, I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t doing something wrong. I’ve adjusted the dosing schedule to 1ml x 22 (total 22ml) a day and I’ll see how I get on. I’ll keep adjusting then add a picture for future reference once I’ve got it sorted.
