    Default Kh director & calcium reactor - settings

    Hi,

    I have a kh director and separately a ph probe that manages the co2 in the reactors.

    I read the manual and i understood what i have to do to manage the co2 in the reactors directly with the kh director.

    I have some doubts on which value i have to set on:

    1) Nom. Value change (ph)
    2) limit for raise (ph)
    3) limit for lower (ph)

    At the moment i set on the ph probe a nominal value of 6.26 ph, hysteresis 0.05 ph and i have in the tank a kh of 7.

    Id like to know which value i have to set for 1), 2), 3) with a kh nominal value of 7 for a directly manage of the kh director to the co2 erogation: i'd like to reduce as minimum as possible the kh variation.

    Hi there,

    Unfortunately, we cannot give you any specific numbers because there are too many variables to consider; KH consumption rate, CaRx model and size, CO2 bubble count, effluent drip rate, etc.

    It would be best to first stabilize your KH as best you can without the KHD making any adjustments. Once you get to that point, you can enable KHD control and start with a very small nominal value such as 0.5 or 1 pH. The limits can be set slightly higher. Wait a few days and see how your KH levels react to these settings and adjust settings as needed until you've stabilized your KH swings to your liking.

    I dis not understand perceftly what the nominal value ph does: does it means that if i set a 0.5 ph nominal value, the ph value in the reactow will increase from the actual 6.26 ph to 6.76?

    Correct.
    A nominal value of 0.5 is the adjustment that will be made only if the KH test result is greater than 1dkH away from the desired KH value. Any KH differences which are smaller are automatically calculated. If the KH difference is higher, the upper and lower limits are the max allowed change that can take place.

    Another example (kh value 7 and ph reactor 6.26), so if nominal value is 0.5 ph and the kh will be 6 or 8, my ph reactor will be 5,76 or 6,76 up to the next kh measurement. If the kh will be 6.8 or 7.2 the ph reactor will be 6.16 or 6.36 up to the next kh measaurement, isnt it?

    Ok ty

    I have another doubt... I dont understand how works the co2 erogation between two kh mesaurement. the switch channel where is the co2 erogation is switched off up to the next mesaurements? i dont understand how it works in that period

    That's the mesaurement after a kh test at 9 pm: as u can see the ph probe in the reactor was 7.19 and, before to set the kh program to manahe co2, was 6.26.
    Dont' u think that should create a variation in the kh?.

    To be honest i set the program in the morning with kh 7.2 at 9 am and up to 9 pm it was the same, but i'm afraid that i'm doing error
