    Default DIY LED Lighting Project

Finally completed the project and got it all programmed and running. I used 72 LEDs (36 CREE XRE-WG-Q5 on Star and 36 CREE XRE-RB on Star). I then used 6 Meanwell ELN-60-48D driver to power them. Nanotuners.com has excellent prices and awesome customer support. So far it appears my corals and fish are LOVING the lights, especially the 2 toadstools.

Looks good. I am still finishing drilling the holes in my heasking.

Are you going to use this for moon lighting? If so, let me know if you get it to work. I cant get mine to work as the moon light.

I was going to do th drilling and tapping, then I came across these..CUSTOM BERQUIST THERMAL PADS FOR XRE STAR from nanotuners.com they are basically a double sided tape thats thermal paste...no screws required and only 49 cents a piece. I couldnt figure out how to do the moon lighting that actually simulates the phases with my project, dont think you can with what I gathered on here, but I have had the simu-l spot lights since I bought the Profilux and I use 2 of them to do my moon lighting.
