Default Problem with PIII showing sensors

I just upgraded to the PIII and did all the updates and calibrations, but on the unit itself when it displays Temp all it shows is "Temp *" and for the conduct(S) 1 it shows "Conduct(S) 1 " with no values for either. But when I connect to the software, it will display data there...I have also unplugged and plugged both probes back in with the same results....Any suggestions?

I beleive so, I remember selecting EX somewhere, but I have gone thru all the Extra tab and cannot find an Ex setting in there...although in the General tab, it does show the Type as ProfiLux 3 Ex

K, Went to Extras, and I see the "Hardware-Upgrade Extended" but it is grayed out and unselectable. I tried hookin up the controller via USB to redo the upgrade and got a FlashErase error 8...but everything is still working minus the temp and conductivity.

the 'flasherase error 8' did this come up while trying to update the firmware??

i would recommend using the rs232 cable when updating firmware (very random)

when u go through the process of updating firmware, follow instructions very cloesly! (on the pc and ON the PROF) you will get a message come up on the ghl asking to download if u click this at the wrong time u will get this error - so watch the screens closely giving a good 10 secs between each click of the mouse on the pc

i did the same thing, then realised i have gone to quick on the pc and not paid attention to the ghl

Yes it came up towards the end of the "erasing flash." I was using the USB cable, but I have picked up my old computer that has a serial port and will try updating using the RS232. When is the right time to push yes on the prof? Is it after the erasing flash?

just before the erasing bit iirc - just take ur time between click and always look at the prof screen for a good 10 secs i would say
