Default PLM-Adin, Programable Logic, and Maintenance modes

I am working on setting up my control system to talk to my Profilux using an Adin card and was curious how feasible this idea would be.

Currently the Adin uses logic high across its 4 digital input pins to trigger an event directly (maintenance mode, feed pause etc). This in itself is good, but we are limited to only four pins.

If we were able to use Programmable logic to trigger events, like maintenance modes, feed pauses, water changes etc, we could utilize those 4 pins in programmable logic to do many more things than just the 4 inputs can do directly.

I would love to have conditions like:

Digital Input 1 AND Digital Input 2 = Maintenance Mode 1
Digital Input 2 AND Digital Input 4 = Feed Pause 3

Etc. You get the general idea.

    Is that even remotely possible?
