Default Doser 2 Firmware fail (both methods)

    Hi GHL team,

I dismantled my GHL setup to connect my Doser 2 via PAB directly to my P4. This was so that I could flash the firmware From 1.24 to 1.28.

I tried the following: Normal process (not unplugging or plugging back in)

    1. Make sure all other PAB are disconnected
    2. Reset all PAB
    3. Reassign PAB only Doser 2.0 picked up
    4. Assign
    5. Go to > System > expand > go to Doser 2.0
    6. Go to Firmware Upgrade.
    7. Foll these steps: attached

I then thought maybe it's the jump from 1.24 to 1.28, proceeded trying to do it in sequence. 1.24 1.26 1.27 1.28.

    Same outcome.

    8. I then tried the "emergency" flash basically same process but you unplug power and plug in immediately note the immediately and click OK.

    Same error

Lastly I tried different "immediately" from 1 second to 4 second to lastly 8 seconds. Yes I timed it.

All ended up in an error.

I haven't put the setup back together as the work to do so is time consuming. I can still access the doser via PAB if I assign it so its not malfunctioning.

    Using
    GCC 1.x.x.16
    Firmware 7.14

Woukd really appreciate the help as the house and fish room are all over the place with me having to dismantle all my GHL devices.

If this is a native SA Doser just switched to slave mode, you need to connect to this unit via USB and do an SA Doser update.

Yes sir use to be a master and I changed it to a slave.

The USB on the doser and update do you need to be a magician and power off and on while clicking click here immediately or does it do it via PAB?

Disconnect the SA doser from the PAB chain and follow this video:

Thank you will do it first thing tomorrow morning.

Just a quick question, in the video there is a pop up just after the firmware starts that says something like "please reset the doser at the user board". However the guy on the video just clicks away from the dialog box and the flash continues.

Just wanted to know if that is the intended result.?

    Also can one go from firmware 1.24 - - 1.28 or do i have to go in sequence i. E. 1.24 1.26 1.27 1.28?

    Thank you once again.

You can just ignore that dialog box as it will go away on its own.

You can also jump to the current firmware in one shot.
