    Standard Leak sensor false positive

    Hi guys,

I have a leak sensor under the tank stand, it's not in a position where it should get any moisture from the tank and in a well ventilated space.

It's been 11 days since the leak sensor was installed, all has been fine up until this point, however tonight it detected a leak.
I checked and everything appeared to be fine, no water, no damp, nothing different than any other time.

Any thought why would this happen?
Any tips on placement / positioning for best results?
    Have you seen this before?

    Many thanks,
    Dave

    Hello Dave,

Since the pins on the sensor are very sensitive to conductive water, it is possible that the sensor can be triggered by excess humidity, salt spray, or salt crystals on the surface where the sensor sits.

    Hey Vinny,

A bit of troubleshooting and I believe I've found the issue.

I forgot that on saturday I changed the response time of the sensor to 0 seconds, as that seemed to make most sense to me at the time (if there is a leak I want to know immediately etc).
Since the OP, the sensor has false positive triggered 3 times.

I changed it back to 1 second and no issues since, although it's only been 8 hours or so.
I'll post if I have any further issues, but I suspect 1 second is the default for a good reason
