Default Profilux 3, cannot connect to IP Address when not on wifi

As above, all works fine when i am at home and my iphone is connected to wifi.

As soon as i move away from the home and try to connect, it fails.

It does not come up with an error, it just loads and there is nothing on the screen.

Any ideas, is it just a setting in windows?

I am on a mac using Parallels 5.0 with windows 7

    Thanks

    Mike

this looks like a local IP?

you need a "global" IP for accessing your home from outside and your router must forward port 80 to 192.168.1.174

    Hi

If you don´t have static IP-Adress you need a DNS (Domain Name System). You can get it at dyndns.com its free. When you got on DNS adress you go to you internetrauter and typ it in. Your IP adress is not always the same but you dns is. DNS is like a phonebook. The DNS-service will update you dynamic IP adress and will "always" find yor rauter.

    Good luck

    Thanks to both of you

I have opened port 80 (port forward on my router) checked it and it says it is open, so i guess that is the first step.

Next i have to get a global ip address (is that the same as a static address)

    Will follow last instructions.

When i have that, i guess i have to manually put the ip etc into the profilux under settings, is that right?

    thanks all

Is it port 80 that profilux need?

www.yourdns.com:80 or xx.xxx.xxx.xxx:80 if you have global ip
