    now i am really lost

some configuration missing on the inside of your network???

What could it be, think i need to start from the beginning again.

Ok i can just ignore Parallels and windows yes, this has nothing to do with them...this is between my mac the router and the profilux yes??

    1. set static address in mac?

    2. port forward 80 to my profilux

    3. do i enter the ip address etc manually into the profilux??

    4???

    1. set static address on the Profilux?

    2. enter http:// _IP_ from Step 1 in Safari

if that's working now continue wit the port forwarding.... port forwarding has noting to do with the inside our your network... it's a configuration done to enable the "talk" from the internet to your inside network.

    3. port forward 80 to the IP set on step 1.

What do i fill in for the static address in the profilux

obviously i put 192.168.1.74 in the ip address field

But what about subnet mask and the other default gateway?

I have reset my router and port fowarded 192.168.1.74 on port 80

I have manually filled in the ip etc in my macs network prefs

here is what i have in the mac

    ipv4 192.168.1.72
    subnet 255.255.255.0
    router 192.168.1.254

by the way http://192.168.1.74/ still works fine on the network
