Default USB connection for Profilux 3

I successfully upgraded my Profilux II with the Profilux 3 upgrade and an eX card as well. I am able to connect via the serial port connection and completed the eX upgrade. I have also installed the driver for integrated USB port of Profilux 3.

Unfortunately, when I try to connect my P3 the only Connection options that I see are RS 232 and TCP/IP. How do I make a direct USB connection from my upgraded Profilux 3 to my computer (running Windows 7)?

I did click on the RS232 tab but still cannot get the unit to connect via USB.

    and you have

    Installed the latest USB driver?

Set the Profilux control software to the matching USB port the driver is using?

Did not have profilux connected to PC when installing driver?

    I installed the driver fromhttp://www.aquariumcomputer.com/Down...aller_v110.zip

The Profilux 3 was not connected when I installed the driver.

I am not sure how to ensure the matching USB port.

Ok then there are two ways

Go to connection set up screen and click scan com port (with profilux connected of course) . If the device is not found then go to device manager in windows and locate serial devices and Profilic driver and note the port it is on.

Thank you for the great support. I looked in the device manager and once I knew to look for the Profilic driver, I was able to find it on COM3 (for my computer). One simple click to change from COM1 to COM3 and I was all set.

By the way, it is so very nice to be able to connect via USB
